Genentech Commercial Portal
User experience design and strategy for intranet, 2007-2010.
In 2007, the Commercial organization at Genentech embarked on a multi-year roadmap to build an IT infrastructure that could scale with the needs of the business. For the users, it was envisioned that there would be a role-based experience on the intranet that delivered only important and pertinent information to the appropriate audiences. Additionally, the portal would use a content management system that would allow the business to manage their own content and rely less on their IT resources.
As the UX Lead on the project, I was involved in many aspects — initial task models and user research, interaction and user interface design, usability testing, branding and strategy exercises, and marketing presentations.

Here are a few examples of some of the deliverables that were produced during the project — wireframes, mockups, task models, style guide, marketing materials, and strategy documents.
